IVAR Hook

This very simple hook was created with IKEA's IVAR line in mind. However, in the end, it only shares the name and colour, if you prefer that.

To fit it to the wood, you'll need a standard M4 countersunk screw. Don't use a flat-head screw, as this might weaken or even damage the print. Printing the model using PLA/+ is strong enough; however, bear in mind that it's printed plastic. Excessive pull, caused by the weight of a hanging item, could potentially damage the print. We've found that one hook can handle two winter coats without any problems.

While variable layer height isn't strictly necessary, using it can achieve smoother rounding on important parts of the model whilst printing the rest at maximum layer height. This can save you a few minutes, especially when printing in bulk.
